(CAMDEN) – The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial and the New Jersey Department of Agriculture’s “Jersey Fresh” program are joining forces to host the fourth annual “Celebrate Jersey Fresh Day” on the Battleship in Camden, Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The celebration gives residents a chance to show their support for New Jersey’s hard-working farm families, who have faced a season in which weather extremes made for challenging growing conditions.

The event will feature various food items from all over the Garden State. Take home free fruit and vegetables, enjoy freshly shucked New Jersey oysters for sale, sample beer and wine -- all grown, harvested or made right here in the Garden State. Plus, there's live music and a chance to win prizes, meet some of the state’s dairy princesses, learn about New Jersey’s honeybee colonies, 4H clubs, cranberry industry and much, much more.

The festival will be held rain or shine under the ship’s fantail tent. It is free with any Battleship tour, or tickets for only the “Jersey Fresh” event on the fantail can be purchased for $10 per person at the gate.
