The farm is a 210-acre preserved farm with some land in nursery, some land set aside for the CSA’s organic vegetable production, and a small vineyard. Our goal is for the CSA and vineyard to eventually encompass the entire farm and for the farm to become a top agritourism destination in the tri-state area. We are searching for an individual that insists on delivering excellence in organic vegetable production and shares our commitment to the land. 1330 Somerset Bedminster I am a landowner of a 70-acre farm and am looking for a person with whom I can partner to maximize the potential of the property as a small farm. I am interested in creating a community-driven farm operation, including vegetable farming, small-scale dairy/cheese operations (goats or sheep), artisanal product production, and poultry. Ideally, a successful venture would allow me to start a farm to table operation including a pick-your own farmstand and cooking classes. I am flexible in structure. If the arrangement is successful, I am looking for a long0term partner. Email: rcasey06@gmail.com. 1/12
1326 Middlesex Cranbury Nonprofit land trust seeking a farmer interested in growing blueberries or a fruit orchard on 13 acres of a preserved farm we own (currently in soy/corn).  Looking for someone who practices low impact agriculture (IPM or organfic) and is interested in promoting native pollinators to benefit crops. The farm is located on John White Rd. and has soils suitable for these crops. We’re offering a long-term lease and may consider a bartering scenario as part, or in lieu, of rental payments. Annual mowing to maintain an adjacent 7-acre field as a native pollinator meadow would be responsibility of farmer (as part of a bartering agreement). Email: draichel@drgreenway.org. 12/11

DEP held three meetings to discuss changes to how it leases the agricultural land it owns in wildlife management areas. One key change includes the issuance of longer-term leases rather than year-to-year special use permits. Lease compensation to the State will be based on soil rental rates established by the USDA's Farm Service, and all leases will be subject to a bidding process open to all interested farmers. The DEP is implementing this new program for the 2010 growing season. For more information contact the DEP's Office of Leases at (609) 633-7575.
