The following links will help long distance caregivers; people who are overseeing or seeking to provide care for someone living in another state. The listings provide direct links to agencies in all 50 states that can offer a starting point to learn about services and programs available to help elders and adults with disabilities living in a state other than New Jersey

 
  • Elder Care Locator

    The Elder Care Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The Eldercare Locator connects older Americans and their caregivers with sources of information on senior services. The service links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers.

  • Links to other state sites for someone living in another state

    This page provides LINKS to specific sites that offer information on resources and supports for someone living in another state.

  • Full Circle of Care

    The Full Circle of Care website provides "hands-on" information chosen specifically to address the practical realities of caregiving. The Full Circle of Care site provides local resource links for the entire state of North Carolina and provides links to other state "Divisions of Aging" and Area Agencies on Aging to address the needs of long-distance caregivers.

  • Help for Long-Distance Caregivers

    The National Institute of Health has developed a new booklet entitled So Far Away: Twenty Questions for Long-Distance Caregivers. The booklet focuses on some of the issues unique to long-distance caregiving and offers ideas and resources that can help make the situation more manageable and satisfying.
