Purpose: The New Jersey Charter Schools Dissemination 5 grant will be made available to successful, established charter schools within the state in order to enable them to provide direct one-to-one technical assistance and mentoring to charter schools which need to improve student achievement as shown on the annual state assessments. The Dissemination 5 grant program will be funded for twelve months, from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. Each project will receive $100,000 in dissemination grant funds. Successful projects will focus on curriculum development and educational best practices.

Eligible Agencies: The charter schools which are eligible to apply for funds under the Dissemination 5 grant are listed in Appendix A - Eligible Schools. Schools have been identified as eligible based on student performance and charter renewal status. Schools that have previously received dissemination grants are ineligible under federal guidelines.
