Purpose: The Implementing New Curricular Leaning with Universally Designed Experiences (INCLUDE) Phase IV Project is designed to ensure all students in the general education classroom, including those with disabilities, struggling students and English language learners are provided the necessary accommodations in the general mathematics classroom that will support their achievement of the Core Curriculum content Standards. The goal of the INCLUDE grant project expands the general education math classroom to include students with mild to severe disabilities in each classroom and if applicable, students that are English language learners. INCLUDE Phase IV directs grantees to develop an effective delivery of instruction using educational technology, the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, and research-based, instructional mathematics practices. Phase IV of the INCLUED Project builds upon the instructional framework and best practices implemented in Phases I through III of the grant project. Eligibility to apply for this INCLUDE continuation grant is limited to the currently-funded agencies who were awarded in competitive years 1 through 3 of the program. Continuation funding will be contingent upon application review and successful completion of the prior year project. The continuation project year for Phase IV is September 1, 2010 – August 31, 2011.
Eligible Agencies: Only agencies that received awards through the competitive process under the originating NGO and received continuation funding in Phase III.
