Comptroller Matthew Boxer discusses Telecommunication Services audit on Fox 5's Good Day NY

MYFOXNY.COM - An audit by the New Jersey State Comptroller found that New Jersey is paying for nearly 20,000 government phones that no one is using at a cost of $3 million to taxpayers. Good Day NY spoke with State Comptroller Matthew Boxer about the findings.

In response to the audit, Comptroller Boxer said each phone was disconnected or suspended.

Going forward, Boxer said the Office of Information Technology OIT will "generate periodic reports of lines with zero usage to ensure agencies are disconnecting their unused lines. "
