Rosedale Park
- History and Establishment
- Rosedale Park encompasses 472 acres that includes a 38-acre lake stocked with trout. This is a very popular location on the opening day of the trout season.
- Rosedale Park was built around the lake for the sole purpose of flood control.
- The farm was purchased by Mercer County, acquiring 3 farms. Two from the Blackwell's and one from the Farrington's. The ground was broken for the main dam in April of 1969.
- The Hunt House, located on the grounds of Rosedale Park was likely constructed in four sections over a period of 100 years, beginning in the 1750's by the Hunt family who were among the earliest in Hopewell Township.
- The price per acre when Mercer County, through the Parks Commission purchased Rosedale Park was for $1,800.

- Children's play equipment at this area includes a swing set, jungle gym and a teeter-totter.
- The family picnic area is situated alongside the lake and has over one dozen public picnic tables and charcoal girls. This is a first come-first served area open to the public seven days a week.
- Boating and canoeing are allowed on the lake; however, gasoline engines are prohibited. Electric engines are allowed on the lake.
- Children's play equipment at this area includes a swing set, jungle gym and a teeter-totter.

Time of Year: Open all year, but reservations for private picnics are available from April until October.
