  • Nursing Services
The Mercer County Geriatric Center, a skilled nursing facility, employs a staff of experienced nurses licensed by the State of New Jersey.  The nursing staff is experienced in Sub-Acute care, Short-term Rehabilitation, Long-term Care, Wound Care Management, IV Therapy, Alzheimer/Dementia, Hospice, and Respite care.

The licensed RNs, LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants comprise a patient care team that is available 24-hours per day.  District Nursing is our concept of assigning, on a  the long-term basis, nursing staff members to a resident in order to develop accountability for and consistent knowledge of the medical condition of the resident.  The resident, in turn, develops a sense of certainty and comfort of his/her care without having to redevelop a rapport, or bond of trust with the caregiver.
