On Tuesday, March 15, 2016, the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women and Mercer County Executive, Brian M. Hughes, will host a cocktail reception to present awards for the Woman of Achievement and the Young Woman of Achievement. The commission, which was established in 1976 to support the development of policies and programs for Mercer County women, is accepting nominations for these awards until Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
The Woman of Achievement Award was established to honor a Mercer County resident who volunteers her time to make the county a better place to live, raise a family and work. The Young Woman of Achievement Award honors a high school student for her outstanding volunteer work within the county.
Please let us know if you have anyone in mind who you feel should be considered for recognition at this special event. Enclosed are nomination forms that detail the qualifications and criteria for these awards. Please feel free to forward these forms to anyone who may also know of an eligible nominee. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Conti, staff person for the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women, at 609-989-6526 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women looks forward to your recommendations.
