TRENTON, N.J. - The Mercer County Office of Housing and Community Development will hold a second public hearing on the proposed 2007 Mercer County HOME Consortium Action Plan.
The hearing will be Monday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence branch of the Mercer County Library located at 2751 Brunswick Pike.
The Action Plan is a comprehensive plan that outlines strategies to address affordable and supportive housing needs within the following municipalities: East Windsor Township, Ewing Township, Hamilton Township, Hightstown Borough, Hopewell Borough, Lawrence Township, Pennington Borough, Princeton Borough, Princeton Township, Washington Township and West Windsor Township.
The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public input on the proposed 2007 Mercer County HOME Investment Partnership Program Affordable Housing Consortium Plan, which is anticipated to be $675,331 for 2007.
The hearing will also cover the American Dream Down-payment Initiative (ADDI) funds for 2007, anticipated to be $14,053. The funding is designed to assist low-income, first-time homebuyers in purchasing single-family homes. Applications for funding considerations are now available. Other programs include Resident Home Rehabilitation Program, Helping Hands for Seniors Program and Housing Production Program. Any comments presented at the hearing or in writing will be considered in the preparation of the final Action Plan to be submitted on or about May 14, 2007, to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
