TRENTON, N.J.—Mercer County is proud to support the annual “Drive to Mercer” golf tournament to benefit the Mercer County Sports and Entertainment Commission on Friday, September 18 at Mercer Oaks Golf Course.
The popular tournament brings a variety of players, from the skilled to the novice, from around New Jersey to join in the “Shamble” format tournament at Mercer Oaks in West Windsor, one of the top public courses in the area.
“This tournament is one of the most anticipated events of the year in the Mercer County community,” said Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes. “It’s not only an enjoyable experience at one of the County’s beautiful golf courses, but it allows the Sports & Entertainment Commission to continue to attract high quality entertainment events for our residents.”
The tournament begins with a “shotgun” start at noon in the Shamble format. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $150 per player and includes greens fees, carts, lunch, dinner, and use of the practice range. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third low-team gross, men’s and women’s long drives, and “closest to the pin” on all par-3s. All proceeds benefit the Mercer County Sports & Entertainment Commission.
