- In what has become a holiday tradition, the Mercer County Park Commission will offer a free day of golf on January 1, 2011 to all Mercer County golf card holders.

For the past 11 years, the Mercer County Park Commission has been proud to offer the free day of golf on New Year’s Day as a show of appreciation to all Mercer County golf card holders.

“A round of golf is a terrific way to usher in a new decade for many of our local golfers who’ve adopted this fun tradition,” said Park Commission Executive Director Kevin Bannon.

The free day of golf will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Snow would cancel play.

Mercer Oaks East and West in West Windsor, Mountain View in Ewing, and Princeton Country Club in West Windsor will all be open, weather permitting. Both Mercer Oaks and Mountain View courses will accept automated advanced tee times by phone or Internet reservation for those individuals who have renewed their resident membership cards for 2011; 2010 cards will be accepted for the free play day, but those residents must either call the course of their choice directly for a reservation, or simply walk-on Tuesday, January 1.  The first tee time at all courses is 8 a.m., frost permitting.
