Online registration held online Saturday, August 27

TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes is pleased to announce that the County will again hold fall tennis lessons at the Tennis Center at Mercer County Park.

The 2011 Fall Tennis Lesson Program registration for lessons from September through December for all ages and levels of play will be offered online only starting the morning of Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at Adult Program Registration begins at 8 a.m., and Junior Program Registration begins at 9 a.m. Registration is online only and cannot be conducted by phone or in person.

Times of classes are varied, and a wide array of offerings are detailed on the Mercer County website, under Park Commission. All classes will be held at the Indoor Tennis Center. Classes are available for all age groups and ability levels. Age groups include: Pee Wee (5-7 years old); Junior (7-9 year olds); Junior (10-12 year olds); Junior (13 and up); Junior (high school); Futures; Adult Happy Hour Beginner Lessons; Adult Punisher Drill and Play; Adult Boot Camp; Adult Power Hour; and Adult Daytime Drill and Play.

The state-of-the-art facility is fully heated and features six courts primed to host tennis year round. The indoor facility features a second-floor viewing lounge overlooking the 22 outdoor courts, and has men’s and women’s locker rooms available. In 2008, the Mercer County Park Commission Tennis Facility received U.S.T.A.’s prestigious National Outstanding Facility of the Year award. The award was presented in New York City during the 2008 U.S. Open.
