- Most Mercer County offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 in observance of Thanksgiving.

The following County offices will be closed both days and will reopen for business on Monday, Nov. 28: McDade Administration Building (640 South Broad St.); Criminal Courthouse (209 South Broad St.); Civil Courthouse (275 South Broad St.); County Clerk’s Office and the County Surrogate’s Office. The County’s LIHEAP program will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 and will reopen for business Monday, Nov. 28. County Connection will be open for business on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The following County offices and facilities will remain open: Trenton-Mercer Airport (except for administrative offices); Correction Center; the County Sheriff’s Office; and the Emergency Services Communication Center, (350 Lawrence Station Road, Lawrence).

The following offices or facilities will have modified hours:

Mercer County Tennis Center, open Thanksgiving Day from 7:30 a.m. to noon and regular hours Friday, Nov. 25, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Outdoor courts are open, weather permitting. Mercer County Skating Center, closed Thanksgiving Day and open Friday, Nov. 25 with skate sessions 10 a.m. to noon,12:50 p.m. to 2;50 p.m. and 7:30 to 10 p.m. County golf courses, open Thanksgiving Day with Mountain View, holding a shotgun start 8 a.m. and closed for the rest of the day. Reservations for play on Thanksgiving Day at Mountain View can be made by calling (609) 882-4093. Princeton Country Club and Mercer Oaks will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. All county courses are open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.  The Park Commission will be holding its second annual “Golf Gift Card Doorbuster Sale” on Black Friday.  Customers who purchase $100 in gift cards will receive an additional $20.  Gift cards can be purchased in person at all three courses or online at www.golfmercercounty.com.

The Equestrian Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day but will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25.  The Wildlife Center will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 25. The Howell Living History Farm will be closed both Thursday and Friday, but reopen with hayrides and wreath and bell sales on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  All branches of the Mercer County Library System will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, however, the Ewing, Hickory Corner, Lawrence, and West Windsor branches will be open on Friday, November 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All branches return to normal hours of operation on Saturday and Sunday.
