TRENTON, N.J. - Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes invites people of all ages to come out for the annual Family Fun and Safety Day on Sunday, May 19, from noon to 3 p.m. at Mercer County Park’s West Picnic Area, near the marina.

This free event gives the public an opportunity to learn how to stay safe. Families can obtain free information on fire prevention and crime prevention from the Mercer County Firemen’s Association and Mercer County Sheriff's Office, get an up-close view of fire engines and other emergency vehicles, and meet local firefighters, law enforcement officers, K-9 units, County officials and EMTs. Attendees also will be treated to music from a live DJ, face painting, pony rides, a moon bounce and games. A food vendor will be on hand.

Mercer County Park is located on Old Trenton Road in West Windsor. The event is sponsored by the Mercer County Firemen's Association and the Mercer County Commission on Abused, Neglected, and Missing Children.
