GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

See New Jersey Civil Service Commission job specification for Sheriff's Officer (03694@).

Must possess a Police Training Commission (PTC) Certification.

Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License.

Must be or have been employed as a full time Police Officer with an agency governed by Civil Service Commission rules.

(Employees not currently employed by a civil service jurisdiction are only eligible if they have been laid off by a civil service agency within 12 months of the effective date of a transfer)

Applicants must waive internal investigation file, sick time records and submit to a complete background investigation.

 
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Police Training Commission (PTC) Certificate

High School Diploma or equivalent

 
 
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
