NEW JERSEY STATE PAROLE BOARD
The New Jersey State Parole Board requests a reallocation of the Parole Counselor title series from the unclassified to the career service. These titles were allocated to the unclassified service under N.J.S.A. 30:4-123.48, which allocated all professional titles in the New Jersey State Parole Board to the unclassified service. N.J.S.A. 30:4-123.48 was recently amended to allow the Parole Counselor title series and titles other than the Hearing Officer to be reallocated to the career service. The amended legislation provides for the permanent appointment of the existing unclassified incumbents to permit work force stability. Approval of this action will permit the New Jersey State Parole Board to achieve compliance with the law.

DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
The Department of Human Services is requesting a two-range upward salary increase for the title of Eye Health Nurse.

Nursing titles were re-evaluated several years ago; the Eye Health Nurse title was inadvertently omitted from this process. The requisite experience for this title is higher than that of Head Nurse, yet the salary range is lower. This change is requested for internal equity purposes.
