The Alternative Work Week Program enables employees to take a day off every two weeks by working longer hours on the remaining work days of the same pay period.

State agencies may establish Alternative Workweek Programs with the approval of Civil Service Commission. An agency can limit the program to certain job titles, work units, and work locations.  In addition, agencies may develop adjusted leave schedules and holiday time differentials for employees on alternative workweeks.
