This course is a worthwhile investment for all organizations but especially for those whose employees service the public. Achieving Communication Excellence (ACE) is an interactive 90 hour program designed for the employee who not only wants to develop their workplace competencies, but also wants to improve their personal performance as well. The course is three 10 week modules and spans over a 9 month period. Each week, the program is presented in a half day session, so that between classroom sessions the participants have the opportunity to practice classroom learning in "real life" day to day workplace experience. This helps to build upon course learning to further develop competencies. Participants will complete individual assessments at various intervals in the program, which are included so that participants can measure and compare their learning at critical points. Course work will also involve homework assignments to further practice skills learned in the classroom. Each participant will also receive 1:1 lab instruction for individual concentration of their needs and strengths.

This program will help the participant build confidence and increase credibility while teaching workplace skills such as:

• Verbal and nonverbal communication
• Email and telephone communication
• Basic rules of grammar and sentence structure
• Importance of proper spelling and punctuation
• Basic office etiquette
• Presentation skills
