Assists families who are participants in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program toward becoming self-sufficient and self-reliant through the implementation of a jointly developed action plan. Using the same guidelines as the Section 8 Certificate and Housing Voucher Programs, rental assistance is provided to families who agree to participate in a series of job training, career counseling, education and social service programs. In connection with this program, assistance also is provided by the Department of Human Services.
