8th Annual Communities of Light™ Day
At dusk, rain or shine
Multiple county-wide locations, including neighborhoods & municipal buildings
During the winter solstice in December, Communities of Light™ candles line the streets of central New Jersey as a powerful symbol of hope for women and children impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault in our community. Communities of Light™ raises awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault and the services available to help victims in NJ.

The sale of luminary kits from October to December also helps to raise funds for Womanspace. Each kit costs $10 and contains materials for six luminaries to light up 100 feet. 100% of the proceeds from Communities of Light benefit services. Please look for luminary kits at your local stores: check www.womanspace.org for a full listing of retailers or to order your kits online. Location info for municipal & neighborhood lighting ceremonies will be announced on the website.

For more information please visit www.womanspace.org or contact Susan D. Klejst at 609-394-0136 or sdk@womanspace.org.
