In 2013, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) created a qualified contractor pool for the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation (RREM) Program. DCA issued three rounds of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in conjunction with the New Jersey Association of Builders in which contractors interested in becoming part of the contractor pool submitted their qualifications. Contractors had to document their ability to meet all RREM Program construction standards and federal program requirements. The criteria used to qualify RREM contractors and other information about the contractor pool is posted below.

Please note that DCA makes no representation relative to the work of any contractors listed in the documents posted below nor is this a direct referral or endorsement of these contractors. Sandy-impacted homeowners who are participating in the RREM Program and who may be interested in using any of these contractors should contact the contractors directly and are encouraged to research and interview several contractors before making any selection of these or any other contractors performing work at their primary residence.
