The New Jersey Housing Resource Center (HRC) is designed to be one of the most powerful and easy to use housing search tools on the Internet. Best of all, it’s completely FREE!
Access the Housing Resource Center website at: http://www.njhousing.gov
The HRC is an online, searchable registry of affordable and special needs housing located in NJ. It’s always current and up-to-date because occupied units are removed every two weeks.
The HRC will help you if you are:
- Searching for affordable or special needs housing to rent or buy in New Jersey
- Helping a loved one or client find this kind of housing in New Jersey
- Trying to sell or lease this kind of housing in New Jersey
How it works if you’re SEARCHING for housing:
You get to tell the computer exactly what type of housing situation you’re looking for. The computer then returns to you detailed descriptions about only the units that meet your requirements.
You can direct your search for specific housing based on:
- How much you can afford to pay
- Acceptance of Section 8 and/or other public subsidies
- Handicap accessibility
- For sale or rental
- The locations(s) where you want to live
- Unit amenities
- Development amenities
- Number of bed and bathrooms
- Building type
- Proximity to public transportation
- Services for persons with Special Needs
How it works if you’re trying to SELL/LEASE housing you own/manage:
Anybody can use the NJHRC for FREE to sell or lease available units in New Jersey including public, private, and non-profit developers and property managers as well as owner-occupants of housing with affordability deed restrictions. In most cases, it takes less than 5 minutes to list your property.
Benefits galore …
- Market to the precise niche your housing is intended for
- Save the money you would have spent on other types of advertisements
- Unlike with newspaper ads, you can avoid unwanted phone calls after the unit is rented or sold
