On September 16, 2002, the Department of Labor adopted amendments to N.J.A.C. 12:60-8.2 and 12:60-8.3 regarding the Department of Labor’s Commissioner’s written notification of a contractor’s suspension pending debarment. The text of the amended rules appeared in the July 1, 2002, New Jersey Register.

Information regarding the suspension of a contractor pending debarment may be obtained by interested public entities by contracting the Division of Wage and Hour Compliance at (609) 292-2283. It is suggested that local units of government review the debarment list (see website listing below) prior to the award of a contract to a vendor/contractor. Interested parties may also access on the Internet the Prevailing Wage Debarment List maintained by the Department. The web site is as follows:
