Comprehensive Data Hub Offers Convenient Access to DCA’s Public Data

TRENTON – New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Charles A. Richman today announced the launch of DCA’s new Data Hub (The Hub). The Hub is an online portal offering easy access to DCA’s public information, such as data on local government, fire safety, housing, amusement rides, licenses and registrations, and Sandy Recovery.

The Hub contains a listing of DCA resources by type, with information on content, format, frequency of update, and years of availability. Users can quickly navigate to a particular dataset for immediate access or choose related categories for browsing. The DCA Data Hub is also available for download as an Excel spreadsheet.

“The Data Hub provides new opportunities for the public to unlock the value of DCA data, while strengthening the Department’s commitment to openness and transparency,” said Commissioner Richman. “The Hub is an easy point of entry for accessing valuable information in just a few clicks.”

The public can access the DCA Data Hub by visiting www.nj.gov/dca/services/datahub.html. The Hub also offers external links to non-DCA state aid from the Department of Education, Department of Transportation, and State Library.

The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a State agency created to provide administrative guidance, financial support and technical assistance to local governments, community development organizations, businesses, and individuals to improve the quality of life in New Jersey.

DCA offers a wide range of programs and services that respond to issues of public concern including fire and building safety, housing production, community planning and development, and local government management and finance.
