Performance-Based Outcomes
DCF is continuing its efforts to strengthen its performance based outcomes that are part of its contracting system. In July 2008, with the introduction of the revised Annex A, provider agencies began identifying performance outcomes to be achieved as part of their DCF contracts. In fact, for some time many agencies have been using performance goals as part of their contracting with DCF.
DCF is ready to move forward collaboratively with its provider community and seeks its input to create uniformity in performance measures among agencies providing similar type services. Over the past few months, DCF has been reviewing agencies’ performance measures and has identified shared outcomes among similar type programs. Based on our review of performance standards in current contracts we have compiled a list of performance measures by program type. Click on the links to the right for further details. For a printable version, click HERE. In the next few months, DCF Contract Administrators will reach out to providers to discuss the outcome measures and how they relate to their program’s design and service delivery. In addition, DCF will convene groups of providers to review, revise, and finalize the list of outcomes, as needed, including the actual percentages that will be included in contracts, and to create uniform data collection methodologies across similar types of programs. We believe that these activities will continue our joint progress in undertaking a more comprehensive review of contracted services and ensuring that program and service outcomes support DCF’s fundamental principles of safety, permanency, and well-being. |
