TRENTON - New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) Commissioner Allison Blake helped children at the Liberty Family Success Center in Kearny select toys from among many donated by The Hance Family Foundation for the holidays.

Commissioner Blake's visit continues the Christie Administration's "Season of Service" to give back to the greater New Jersey community.

"Few things make you feel better and lift your spirits than seeing a big smile on a child's face.  Today there was plenty of wide and happy smiles on children tightly embracing the wonderful gifts thoughtfully donated by the Hance Family Foundation," said Commissioner Blake.

Children enjoyed eating holiday snacks, singing, and participating in arts and crafts activities.

The Hance Family Foundation also delivered toys for children at the Bayway Family Success Center in Elizabeth.  Jackie and Warren Hance created the foundation to honor the memories of their three daughters, Emma, Alyson, and Katie, who died in a tragic accident in 2009 at ages eight, seven, and five.
