Mental Health Advocacy

Patrick Reilly, Division Director

If you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health or substance abuse problem, there are many ways to access help.

If there is an emergency, or you believe that you or someone else is in danger, dial 911 immediately!

For questions about mental illness or accessing services, or other non-emergency matters, you can contact NJ MentalHealthCares by telephone at:

866-202-HELP [4357]

or by e-mail at njmentalhealthcares@mhanj.org.

Trained clinicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you. NJ MentalHealthCares is funded by the Division of Mental Health Services.

For information about alcohol or drug addiction, you may call the Division of Addictions Services hotline at 800-283-2333. They are also available any time, day or night.
