In addition to the current air quality levels reported on these web pages, you can find daily air quality ratings in your local newspaper, or call our toll-free number, 1-800-782-0160, for a recorded summary of the day's pollution forecast(currently unavailable).
We also notify interested people and organizations via e-mail when we're forecasting unhealthy air quality. Here's how to sign up.
Throughout the year, as part of the nightly news, New Jersey Network TV broadcasts a map showing the next day's air quality forecast for the different regions of the state. Check your TV listings for channel information. During the summer, U.S. EPA also creates forecast and animated ozone maps for most of the east coast and parts of the midwest. The animated maps show how ozone levels have changed over the course of the day.
We have several reports available online, including an analysis of the 1998 ozone season and our most recent annual report, which has summaries and statistics for each monitoring site. For more information, contact us at 609-292-0138.
