Applying for an Air Permit
Pin Code Requirements

To Request a Pin Code, a Facility must have an ID number in NJEMS. If no ID has been assigned, "Part A" of the AIMS 099 form must be completed to request a Facility ID.

Pin Code requests are to be submitted on "Part B" of the AIMS 099 form.

There must be at least one responsible official listed on "Part B" of the AIMS 099 form for the Pin Code request to be approved.

A consultant or consulting firm may request a Pin Code for a facility as long as there is a letter on company letterhead from the facility giving them permission. NOTE - A consultant's letterhead is not acceptable.

Identical Pin Codes can not be used for different personnel under the same facility ID, i.e. no two people can have the same Pin Code at the same facility.

Pin Codes are limited to and should not exceed 7 Alphanumeric characters.

Pin Codes are entered into NJEMS in UPPERCASE LETTERS and no spaces or punctuation's are allowed between characters.

When using the number zero as part of a Pin Code, A vertical line must be drawn through it to differentiate it from the letter "O".

Make a copy of your AIMS 099 request form for your records before mailing. Pin Codes can not be verified by phone if they are lost or forgotten. To verify or change an existing Pin Code, a new request must be submitted.

Requests are accepted by Fax at (609) 633-8236.
