A Newsletter About New Jersey's Water Quality Programs

Division Completes
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Pilot Program

by Julio Collazo, Bureau of Permit Management

In the Fall 2002 issue of the New Jersey Discharger, the Division of Water Quality announced their intent to pilot an Electronic Data Interchange application for the submission of various NJPDES monitoring report forms including, Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs), Waste Characteristics Reports (WCR) and Residual Transfer Reports (RTRs).

The Division is pleased to announce that the pilot program has been successfully completed. Several bugs, which delayed the program's release, have been corrected. As a result, the Division is preparing to solicit subscribers for this new service shortly. Be on the lookout for a mailing that will include a NJPDES EDI Agreement specifying the conditions for participation in the program. The NJPDES EDI Agreement will also be made available to you at the web portal at: www.njdeponline.com. If you would like to placed on a waiting list for future notification, please contact Debbie Esposti, Bureau of Permit Management, at (609) 984-4428.
