| A Newsletter About New Jersey's Water Quality Programs |
|
Despite all the rain that has fallen in recent months, the need for preserving our valuable water resources has not diminished. Since the last edition of the New Jersey Discharger, the DEP has been actively promoting the RWBR program and expanding its public education efforts at various outreach events across the state. Upcoming events include the League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City on November 19, 2003 and a panel discussion concerning water issues affecting Bergen County residents at Ramapo College on December 3, 2003. In addition to outreach efforts, The DEP has completed a Technical Manual for Reclaimed Water for Beneficial Reuse - an infomative water reuse how-to guide. The manual can be accessed on the web at www.state.nj.us/dep/dwq/techmans/reuseman.pdf. If you have questions regarding any outreach events or are interested in learning more about RWBR, you can contact the RWBR Task Force by e-mail at RWBR@dep.state.nj.us, or by contacting Ben Manhas, Bureau of Point Source Permitting Region 1 at (609) 633-3869 or Joe Mannick, Bureau of Point Source Permitting Region 2 at (609) 292-4860. |
