Biosolids Management Conference planned
The Association of New Jersey Recyclers (ANJR), the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) and the DEP will co-sponsor a conference on the management of biosolids (sludge) produced by municipal and domestic wastewater treatment plants on June 23, 1995, at the Princeton Marriott, Forrestal Village, U.S. Route 1. The conference will focus on the beneficial use of biosolids and will include topics on public relations plans, monitoring and controlling land application sites, upgrading processing facilities to create more marketable sludge derived products, and emerging issues in biosolids management. In addition, the status of New Jersey's Sludge Management Regulations and Statewide Sludge Management Plan will be discussed. Speakers at the conference will include experts from state and federal agencies, consultants, and members of the agricultural community. Exhibits by vendors serving the biosolids management community will also be featured.
