Sewer Bans lifted in two municipalities

The sewer connection ban imposed upon the Borough of Woodstown sewage treatment plant was rescinded by the DEP on March 13, 1995. The ban was originally imposed July 1, 1988 due to inadequate treatment. Upgrades needed to achieve NJPDES permit compliance were recently placed into operation at the plant.

Sewer connection bans imposed on Aberdeen Township's Cliffwood Beach and River Gardens sewage treatment plants were rescinded on February 9, 1995 and February 22, 1995 respectively. The bans were imposed on May 15, 1987 due to inadequate treatment. Both treatment plants have been converted into pumping stations, conveying all wastewater flows to the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority treatment facility.
