DEP Publishes First Permits Handbook
The Office of Permit Information and Assistance has compiled a guide for New Jersey residents and businesses for identifying and applying for environmental permits, licenses, certificates, or approvals administered by the Department of Environmental Protection and other closely-related state and federal governmental agencies. For each listed permit, the guide includes: Name and description of permit, name of issuing agency, statutory authority, contact person and phone number for assistance, and the estimated timeframe for technical review.
This is the DEP's first comprehensive guide to environmental permitting in New Jersey. Supplies are limited. To get yours contact the Office of Permit Information & Assistance (OPIA) at (609) 292-3600, or write to the OPIA at: CN 423, Trenton, NJ 08625-0423.
