Seminar Scheduled For Stormwater Permits

by Janet Jessel, Bureau of Stormwater Permitting

Mark your calendars! On June 12, 1996, the Bureau of Stormwater Permitting will present a day-long Stormwater Permits Seminar covering permitting requirements along with a how-to on the preparation and implementation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. The seminar, which was developed in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Professional Education, Cook College, Rutgers University, will be held at the Cook College Campus, New Brunswick.

The seminar is important to the business community and other parties interested in statewide stormwater requirements and will include a presentation by a facility representative who has "hands-on-experience." Other seminar topics include:

As a special feature, companies with products and services related to stormwater management will have the latest technology on exhibit. In the past, products related to erosion control, stormwater management, stormwater monitoring, oil and sediment removal, and safety at drainage facilities, among others, have been highlighted.

Facilities with a general or individual stormwater permit will be receiving a mailing with registration materials from Cook College in the spring. If you do not receive a mailing by April 1, 1996, please call the Office of Continuing Professional Education at (908) 932-9271 to request program materials.
