The general permit for discharges from potable water treatment plant basins was issued on September 17, 1996. Any water treatment facility with a NJPDES-Discharge to Ground Water Permit that expires on or before December 31, 1996, should either apply for a renewal of its individual permit or for authorization under the general permit as soon as possible. Applications for renewal or for the general permit may be obtained from the Bureau of Permit Management at (609) 984-4428.
