In January 1997, the Municipal Finance and Construction Element (MF&CE), formerly Municipal Wastewater Assistance, left its Brunswick Circle location and relocated to the third floor of 401 East State Street, in the DEP Complex. The MF&CE administers various state and federal financing programs to improve water quality, including programs to construct wastewater treatment and stormwater management facilities. In addition, MF&CE responsibilities now include the Treatment Works Approval, Sewer Ban, Capacity Assurance, and the Combined Sewer Overflow programs. Concurrent with MF&CE's relocation, the New Jersey Wastewater Treatment Trust (Trust) moved to 3131 Princeton Pike, Building 6, Suite 201 in Lawrenceville (exit 8A of Interstate 95).
