Environmental Indicators Report Published
NJDEP published its first Environmental Indicators Technical Report in June 1998. The 235-page report includes indicators related to Air Quality, Freshwater Watersheds, Drinking Water Quality, Pollution Prevention, and Mercury. Freshwater Watersheds indicators include cause indicators (point source loadings of various constituents), condition indicators (designated use attainment indicators) and response indicators (compliance rates and program implementation). Additional efforts are underway to develop and publish indicators related to nonpoint sources, ground water, and marine water quality.
