Pretreatment Seminars for Non-Delegated Local Agencies Set

by James Murphy
Bureau of Pretreatment and Residuals

The Bureau of Pretreatment and Residuals will hold half-day regional seminars to discuss and clarify the pretreatment program requirements contained in NJPDES discharge to surface water (DSW) permits. These seminars are scheduled as follows:

DATELOCATIONTIME
March 18Northern Bureau Enforcement Offices
1259 Route 46 East, Parsippany, NJ

March 24Counsel Chambers Room

Publicly owned treatment works (POTWs), that do not have a state approved industrial pretreatment program are considered "non-delegated local agencies." These POTWs have permit conditions that facilitate the DEP's implementation of the state's pretreatment program requirements. The seminar is designed to increase pretreatment program awareness and provide an understanding of pretreatment permit conditions. Presentations will cover both the administrative and technical requirements specified in NJPDES permits.

Individual seminar notices were mailed to each non-delegated local agency. To confirm your attendance, please contact either Jim Murphy or Valentin Kouame of the Bureau of Pretreatment and Residuals at (609) 633-3823.
