EPA is always looking for first class municipal wastewater treatment plants for its Regional award programs. This is a great opportunity for you and your staff to get recognized for the time and effort you put into running your facilities. There are nine categories of awards for O&M Excellence and four categories of awards for Beneficial Use of Biosolids (sludge).
There's no reason why New Jersey's municipal wastewater treatment plants should take a back seat to the rest of the country. But the state can't showcase what's been accomplished unless you put forth an effort to submit a Regional application which, hopefully, could lead to a National Award.
Applications will not be available until January 2000 but don't wait, call the following Regional Coordinators now to ensure you receive an application:
