The Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority industrial pretreatment program was recognized by EPA under the 2001 National Wastewater Management Excellence Awards program. The CCMUA received second place in the Pretreatment Awards, 26-100 Significant Industrial User category. The awards program provides national recognition and heightens overall public support of the programs developed to protect the public's health and safety and the nation's water quality. CCMUA was nominated for this award by the DEP's Bureau of Pretreatment and Residuals. The CCMUA's industrial pretreatment program, approved by the Department in 1985, currently regulates 51 significant industrial users. The national awards ceremony presentation was held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on October 15, 2001. The DEP congratulates Herman Engelbert, Executive Director of the CCMUA, as well as Robert Cornforth, Director of Operations and Maintenance, and the CCMUA industrial pretreatment program staff including Bob Clark, Gayle Pagano, Bart Conrad, Sam Loperfido, Patricia Wright, Coleen Noble, and Ed Warton. |
