How to Get Community Right to Know Information
On the Internet
The Community Right to Know (CRTK) Program
has developed a number of reports available
via the Department's Data
Miner website. These reports provide
chemical information on Active CRTK facilities
with inventory above reporting thresholds;
Active and Inactive CRTK facilities with
inventory below reporting thresholds, and
facilities subject to the federal Emergency
Planning and Community Right to Know Act
(EPCRA) reporting requirements; and general
facility information such as name and address.
By Mail
CRTK and Release and Pollution Prevention
Report (RPPR) Information may also be obtained
through the Open
Public Records Act (OPRA) via the Office
of the Records Access (ORA). A request for
information must be filed on an official
request form.
Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets
The New Jersey Department of Health (DOH)
develops and distributes Hazardous Substance
Fact Sheets (HSFS) for many of the chemicals
subject to Right to Know reporting. The
Fact Sheets explain specific health effects
of a chemical from workplace exposures,
ways to reduce or control workplace exposure,
and emergency information. HSFSs may be
obtained from DOH Right to Know Program
at P.O. Box 368, Trenton, NJ 08625, by calling
609-984-2202 or at the DOH web site.
