Hourly Technician – Marine Fisheries

Background: Fisheries Biology, Marine Science, Biology, Wildlife Management or Environmental Science
Location: Port Republic, Atlantic County

Job Description: Data processing for NJ Bureau of Marine Fisheries and some associated field work. Record, enter and proof data collected by the Bureau. Maintain field sampling apparatus, and assist in grounds/building maintenance. Field sampling for Bureau research projects in ocean and estuarine waters. Projects include: archival NJ Surf Clam Survey records and Commercial Blue Crab Harvest Reports data entry.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's degree, (or a current student), with a major in Fisheries Management, Marine Science, Wildlife Management or Environmental Sciences. Basic computer skills are required including Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access and Word. Possess a valid driver's license.

Compensation: $11.00 an hour
