The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) and the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will host a public meeting on Thursday, March 23, to review and comment on the ASMFC's recently developed Draft Scup Emergency Rule. The meeting, scheduled to address concerns with the summer commercial fishery, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Cape May County Extension Office, 355 Courthouse - South Dennis Road in Cape May Courthouse.
Copies of the Draft Scup Emergency Rule can be obtained after March 13, by contacting the commission at 202-289-6400, or by visiting the ASMFC web site at www.asmfc.org. Written comments must be submitted to the ASMFC c/o Robert Beal, Scup Fishery Management Coordinator, 1444 Eye Street, N.W., Sixth Floor, Washington, D.C. 20005 by March 30.
