The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish & Wildlife announces important check station changes and additions in Morris, Somerset, Warren and Ocean counties for the 2001-2002 deer seasons. The following deer check stations will check in deer throughout all six deer seasons.

In Morris County, the Silver Bullet in Mine Hill has moved and will no longer be checking in deer. Hunters may instead check their deer at Parsippany Bait, Sport & Tackle, 180 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, or at R & S Sports Center, Route 46 & New St., Budd Lake.

In Somerset County, Charlie Stone's in Neshanic Station will no longer check in deer. Instead, hunters may check their deer at Sportman's Rendezvous, 174 Rt. 31 in Flemington, or at Hillsborough Outdoor Sports Center, 170 Township Line Rd. in Belle Mead.

In Warren County, RDJ Service Center (Texaco station) at 275 Route 46 in Vienna has been added as a check station.

In Ocean County, Tip's Hardware, 218 Main St. (Rt. 9) in West Creek will once again be checking in deer this year.
