The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife will offer a limited quantity of unclaimed beaver and river otter trapping permits at three Division offices on Monday, December 30, 2002. This is the only day these permits will be made available. This special over-the-counter sale will enable trappers who did not apply for a permit, were not selected in the lottery, or who wish to obtain an extra permit an opportunity to do so.

All sales will be on a first come, first served basis and trappers are reminded to bring a current valid trapping license with them to purchase a permit. Permits cost $7 each.

Trappers are reminded that the bag limit for beaver is 10 per permit, while the bag limit for river otter is one per season, regardless of the number of river otter permits in possession.
