The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife announces an important check station change in Passaic County for the 2002-2003 deer seasons. Hunters are reminded that they should check their deer at the nearest open station to the harvest location.

In Ringwood, Monksville Bait, Sport & Tackle is no longer open for business and will not be checking deer. Hunters may instead check their deer at Frank's Tackle, located at 1846 Route 23 in West Milford. Frank's Tackle in West Milford and the sister store in Wanaque will check deer in for all the remaining seasons.
