NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife - Assunpink Boat Ramp Construction Project Forces Lot Closure


Assunpink Boat Ramp Closed for Construction Project August 21, 2006 The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will begin construction on a new boat ramp at Assunpink Lake on August 28, 2006. The existing ramp and entire parking area will be closed to sportsmen and the general public until the project is completed. The date of completion is projected to be November 27, 2006. There is only one official boat ramp on Assunpink Lake. The site adjacent to the old office has no water and can not be used. The site adjacent to the Dam and across from the island is designated as a bank fishing area. It has limited parking and the depths for launching are unknown. Assunpink Lake is located on the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Upper Freehold Township, Monmouth County.
