Pequest Open House FAQs

 

When is the Open House?
In 2019 the Open House takes place RAIN or SHINE on April 27 & 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where is the Open House held?
The Open House will be held at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center in Oxford, Warren County. Click for driving directions. Please note that the rear entrance will be closed for the event.

What does it cost to attend the Open House?
Admission to the Open House, parking, and most activities are FREE! There will be items for sale at the outdoor supply marketplace and from food vendors.

What should I bring?
The Open House will be held rain or shine, so please plan accordingly. The event is mainly outdoors so wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes, preferably no sandals or flip-flops. Many of the activities and exhibits will be located underneath tents for protection from inclement weather.

Also consider bringing the following items:

  • Sunscreen and a hat
  • Bug spray
  • Poncho or raincoat in case of rain
  • Boots in case the fields are muddy
  • Camera to take pictures
  • Money for food, drinks and products from various booths.

Can I bring my dog or pet?
Please do not bring your dog or other pets. Only dogs participating in events and service dogs are permitted on the grounds.

Is there an ATM on the grounds?
No
